This is the longest stretch I’ve gone without a post here, which means it’s the longest stretch since I started this project where I have not purposefully removed something from a basement or closet and sent it on its way out of my life. I vow to return to that work next week!
I am happy to report that I’ve been busy living life! Some of the things I’ve been up to:
Teaching a couple of classes and wrapping up a workshop
Listening to Joni Mitchell and reading for an interview/conversation I’ll be having with Paul Lisicky on May 1st
Family visits/activities
Stretching and going to the gym more
Working on an essay for an upcoming workshop
Working intermittently on my memoir re-write
Having lunch and dinner with friends
Lining up a three-week summer teaching gig… and looking into teaching possibilities for the fall
TAXES!

And last, but certainly not least, participating in democracy and keeping up with the news, or as much as I can tolerate before switching to one of the cleansing, joyful, restorative activities above—except for the taxes!
I will be attending a bridal shower this weekend, something that has not happened in ages, and I can’t wait to wish this young woman well! (Admission: I also hope there’s a really good cake. :-)) And I hope you have something joyful on tap too!
